Section 20 in Bihar Cinemas (Regulation) Rules, 1974

20. Cinematograph machine.

(1)The Cinematograph machine shall be placed on firm supports of fire-resisting construction.
(2)The body of the cinematograph machine shall be constructed of metal or lined with metal and asbestos in which case there must be an air space between the metal and the asbestors lining.
(3)The cinematograph machine shall be provided with metal shutter which can be readily inserted between the source of light and the film gate. This shutter shall be immediately dropped in the event of any accident to the cinematograph machine or stoppage of the film and shall only be raised when the film is in motion for the purpose of projection.
(4)The film gate shall be of massive construction and provided with ample heat radiating surface, and the passage for the film shall be sufficiently narrow to prevent flame travelling upwards or downwards from the light opening.
(5)All cinematograph projectors shall be fitted with two metal film boxes of substantial construction, and not more than 24 inches in a diameter, inside measurement to and from which the films shall travel.
(6)Spool shall be chain or gear driven and films shall be wound upon spools so that the wound-film shall not at any time reach or project beyond the edges of the flanges of the spool.
