Court, after considering various judgments of the
Supreme Court, has held as below:
"22. The provisions of Section 23(xxxii) of the
Act make it clear that the Syndicate was fully
empowered to constitute the "Unfair Means
Committee". Therefore, the ground taken by the
petitioner that the Committee, being contrary to
the Ordinance of the University, had no power to
inflict the punishment upon the petitioner and
that the proceedings should be declared null and
void is not correct and is not accepted.
