parliamentary election and the
election in question in the
name of `Hindutva' i.e. Hindu
religion."

religion and to fight for Hindutva. The

sections (3) and/or (3A) of Section 123 is rejected.
Meaning of `Hindutva' and `Hinduism'
The next contention relates to the meaning ... Hindutva' and `Hinduism' and the effect of the use of these
expressions in the election speeches.

All these petitions are based on a plank
of Hindutva/Hinduism alleged to have
been adopted by these parties and
allegedly declared ... hereafter,

plank of Hindutva/Hinduism, as declared

Hindus and wanted to fight the elections on the common plank of Hindutva, As per the understanding arrived at between the said two parties ... Parliamentary Elections and the elections in question in the name of "Hindutva", that is, Hindu religion.

both the parties. Against the appeal was on the basis of Hindutva. In between there were two meetings - one on 8th February ... that there were certain wall paintings containing the words : "TO SAVE HINDUTVA, VOTE FOR B.J.P. - SHIV SENA." The petitioner does
