3. Permit the petitioner to overstay the home parole
granted to him for a further period of 15 days from

representation for regularising the period of overstay is pending ... government. Rule 408 enables the authorities to
regularise overstay if the alleged overstay was not purposeful, was bonafide
and for reasons which were beyond
Central Prison and
Correctional Home, Viyyur, Thrissur, on
parole/ordinary leave;
ii. Issue a writ in the nature of Mandamus or such
other writ, direction ... regards the Petitioner's
husband's regularisation of overstay, and grant of
parole, in light of the Exhibit P-11 order of this
Public Prosecutor that on a previous
occasion, the petitioner had overstayed the
period of parole.
In the result, the writ petition is
dismissed, reserving ... seek regularisation of the period of overstay and
thereafter, apply to the competent authority for
parole.

We have asked the State

salvage the situation.
13. It seems that convicts released on parole/leave can be
broadly classified into three; they are, those who were ... subsequent orders of the Government.
14. That means, petitioners were granted parole
independent of the directions of the Hon'ble Supreme Court
