(15)Assistant Engineer (Mechanical). - (i) 67 per cent by direct recruitment through the Commission.(ii)25 per cent by promotion through the Commission from amongst substantively appointed Technical Assistant (Mechanical), Junior Engineers (Mechanical) and Computors who have completed seven years' service, as such, in the department on the first day of the year of recruitment.(iii)8 per cent by promotion from amongst substantively appointed Technical Assistants (Mechanical), Junior Engineers (Mechanical) and Computors who possess the requisite qualification for direct recruitment and have completed five years' service, as such, on the first day of the year of recruitment.
