Section 21(2) in Bachelor of Engineering and Technology, Bachelor of Pharmacy and Diploma in Pharmacy (Regulation of Admission and Payment of Fees) Rules, 2008
(2)Such institute shall, invite application from the eligible candidates and prepare an inter-se merit-list in the following order:-(i)names of the candidates whose name appears in the merit list of the Admission Committee,(ii)names of the candidates who have passed qualifying examination from outside the Gujarat State and have appeared in GUJCET conducted in the current academic year, giving priority to the candidates of origin of Gujarat State."(iii)After allotting the seats to candidates mentioned in sub-clause (i) & (ii) above, if any seat remains vacant, the institute shall invite application from the candidates who have passed diploma engineering course and grant admission on merit. Such candidates shall be eligible for admission in first year of engineering only.
