The Abu Area Laws Act, 1975Act No. 25 of 1975(Received the assent of the President on the 11th day of June, 1975.)[Published in Rajasthan Gazette, Part IV-A, Extraordinary, dated 16th June, 1975.]An Act to repeal certain enactments in their application to the Abu area and to extend certain others to that area.Be it enacted by the Rajasthan State Legislature in the Twenty-sixth Year of the Republic of India as follows:-

1. Short title.

- This Act may be called the Abu Area Laws Act, 1975.

2. Repeal of certain laws.

- The enactments specified in the Schedule hereto, in their application to the Abu area, are hereby repealed.

3. Extension of Rajasthan laws to Abu area.

- All Rajasthan laws, other than the Rajasthan Excise Act, 1950 (Rajasthan Act II of 1950), as in force in the pre-reorganisation State of Rajasthan and as have not been extended to the Abu Area by the Rajasthan Laws (Extension) Act, 1957 (Rajasthan Act No. 27 of 1957) or by any other Rajasthan Law for the time being in force, shall extend to Abu area notwithstanding that Abu area did not form part of the State of Rajasthan when these laws were made or passed.

4. Savings.

(1)The repeal by this Act of any enactment shall not affect any other enactment in which the repealed enactment has been applied, incorporated or referred to.
(2)This Act shall not affect the previous operation of any enactment hereby repealed or the validity, invalidity, effect or consequence of anything already done or suffered thereunder or any right, title, privilege, obligation or liability already acquired, accrued or incurred thereunder or any investigation, remedy or proceeding in respect thereof or any release or discharge of or from any debt, penalty/obligation, liability, claim or demand, or any indemnity already granted, or the proof of any past act or thing.
(3)This Act shall not affect any principle or rule of law, or established jurisdiction, form or course of pleading, practice, or procedure, or any existing usage, custom, privilege, restriction, exemption, office or appointment, notwithstanding that the same respectively may have been in any manner affirmed, or recognised or deprived by, in or from any enactment hereby repealed.
(4)The repeal by this Act of any enactment shall not revive or restore any jurisdiction, office, liability, right, title, privilege, restriction, exemption, usage, practice, procedure or other matter or thing not existing or in force on the date on which this Act comes into force.

5. Power to remove difficulties.

- If any difficulty arises in giving effect in the Abu area to the provisions of any Rajasthan law extended to such area by section 3, the State Government may, by order notified in the Official Gazette, make such provisions or give directions as appears to it to be necessary or expedient for the purpose of removing the difficulty.
