Section 13D(1) in The Meghalaya Maintenance Of Public Under (Autonomous Districts) Act
(1)If the State Government considers it necessary or expedient so to do in the public interest or in the interest of the safety and security of any area which is or which is a part of an area declared as "distributed area" under the Assam Disturbed Areas Act, 1955, the State Government may by order, direct, in respect of any such area to be specified in the order (hereinafter referred to as the said area) that, subject to any exemptions made by the State Government by general or special order(a)all person or any class of persons shall remove themselves or be removed from the said area or to any specified part thereof;(b)all persons or any class of persons in the said area shall remain therein for such period as may be specified;(c)any animal or property or any specified class of animals or property shall be removed from the said area or to any specified part thereof;(d)within specified time any building or other property specified in the order shall be destroyed or rendered useless; and may do any other act involving interference with private rights of property which is necessary for any of the purpose aforesaid.
