(4)(a)On and from the date on which this Act comes into force in respect of post-graduate education and research, the Jawaharlal Nehru University as constituted under the Jawaharlal Nehru University Act, 1966 (Act No. 53 of 1966) shall cease to exercise jurisdiction over the Centre of Post-Graduate Studies, Imphal;(b)The State Government of Manipur may make provisions for the transfer of employees from the Jawaharlal Nehru University Centre of Post-Graduate Studies, Imphal to the Manipur University ; and(c)The Legislature of Manipur may by law provide for the transfer of the assets, liabilities and rights of the Jawaharlal Nehru University, Centre of Post-Graduate Studies, Imphal to the Manipur University :Provided that no such law shall be required to be made if the Jawaharlal Nehru University transfers the assets, liabilities and rights of the Centre of Post-Graduate Studies, Imphal to the Manipur University.
