Section 5 in Andhra Pradesh Regulation of Admissions into MBA/MCA Professional courses through Common Entrance Test Ruels, 2006

5. Method of Admission.

- The general guidelines for the admission of candidates into Professional Institutions offering MBA/MCA shall be as follows.
(i)The admission into all the University colleges offering MBA/MCA courses shall be made through Single Window System in the order of merit on the basis of ranking assigned in ICET as per Rule 5 of the Andhra Pradesh integrated Common Entrance Test for admission into MBA/MCA Rules, 2004 following Rules of Reservation as prescribed in Rule 7 hereunder.
(ii)All the seats in Un-aided Minority/ Non-Minority Institutions offering MBA/MCA courses shall be filed as follows:
(a)All the Category A seats shall be filled by the respective-Institutions by admitting candidates as allotted by the Convener of ICET admissions/Convener of ICET-AC admissions, as the case may be depending upon the option exercised by the institution as per clause (4) of sub-rule (a) of Rule 8 of the Andhra Pradesh Integrated Common Entrance Test for admission into MBA/MCA Rules, 2004.
(b)All the Category B seats shall be filled by the respective Institutions on merit basis following the procedure laid down in of Rule 6 (iii) hereunder:
(c)The admission of the candidates made in various Un-aided Non-Minority and Minority Professional Institutions shall be subject to scrutiny by the inspecting Authority appointed for the purpose.
(iii)The Convener of ICET admissions/ Convener of ICET - AC admissions shall allot candidates to Institutions in terms of Rules laid down herein.
(iv)The admissions shall be made in the . order of merit on the basis of the ranking assigned in ICET/ICET - AC as per Rule 5/8 of the Andhra Pradesh integrated Common Entrance Test for admissions into MBA/MCA Rules, 2004.
(v)The total number of candidates to be admitted in all the Professional Institutions offering MBA/MCA shall not exceed the limits prescribed by the All India Council for Technical Education from time to time.
