Section 27(8) in The Rajasthan Maharana Pratap University of Agriculture and Technology, Udaipur Act, 2000
(8)There shall be a Students' welfare Officer, who shall have the following duties:-(a)to make arrangements and supervise management of students' hostel, cafeteria and mess;(b)to plan and organise students extra-curricular activities such as sports, cultural and other recreational activities of the University;(c)to plan and direct the programme of students' advisement and counselling and to enlist the co-operation of prospective employers and employment agencies to assist in the placement of graduates of the University and do promote discipline amongst the students of the University.(d)to supervise and control medical and health services and other welfare measures in the University; and(e)to make arrangements for scholarships, stipends, part-time employment and travel facilities for the study tour of the students.
