16. Procedure for direct recruitment to posts outside the purview of the Commission.
(1)For the purpose of recruitment there shall be constituted a Selection Committee comprising;(i)The Appointing Authority.(ii)One Principal of Government Diploma Institution under the administrative control of the Department to be nominated by the Director of Technical Education.(iii)Technical member of the concerned subject of the rank of atleast Assistant Professor in a University/Degree College to be nominated by the Director of Technical Education.(2)The Selection Committee shall scrutinise the applications received and require the eligible candidates to appear in an interview.(3)The Selection Committee shall prepare a list of candidates in order of merit, as disclosed by the marks obtained by them in interview. If two or more candidates obtain equal marks, the Selection Committee shall arrange their names in order of merit on the basis of their general suitability for the post. The number of names in the list shall be larger but not larger by more than 25 per cent of the vacancies.
