Section 18(3)(a) in The U.P. Pravidhik Shiksha (Admission Conduct of Examinations and Conferment of Certificates and Diplomas) Regulations, 1992

(a)Ordinarily no admission in the First Year semester in an affiliated institution shall be alter the commencement of the academic session. However in exceptional cases this may be extended upto 45th day of declaration of the results by Joint Entrance Examination Council, U.P. at Lucknow or entrance test or merit list declared by an institution, so the case may be, in accordance with Regulation 9.
