Section 26 in THE ANDHRA PRADESH FISHERIES UNIVERSITY ACT, 2020
26. The Academic Council -
(1)The Academic Council shall consist of the following Members, namely,-(a)the Vice-Chancellor of theUniversity;(b)the Vice-Chancellor of Sri Venkateswara Veterinary University;(c)the Vice-Chancellor of Acharya N. G. Ranga Agricultural University;(d)the Vice-Chancellor of Tamil Nadu Dr. J. Jayalalitha Fisheries University;(e)the Commissioner ofFisheries of Andhra Pradesh;(f)the Deans of Faculties;(g)the Director of Research;(h)the Director of Extension;(i)the Dean of StudentAffairs;(j)the Controller of Examination;(k)the AssociateDeans;(l)the University Heads ofDepartments;(m)two members of the Board of Management nominated by the Vice-Chancellor;(n)two persons having special knowledge or practical experience in different aspects of Fisheries Science out of which one may be from industry nominated by the Vice-Chancellor;(2)The Academic Council mayco-optas members,not more than three persons, for such period and in such manner, as may be prescribed so as to securead equate representation of different aspects of Fisheries Sciences.(3)The Vice-Chancellor shall be Ex-officio Chairperson, while the Registrar shall be the Ex-officio Member Secretary of the Academic Council.
