Section 1 in Telecommunication (Broadcasting and Cable) Services Standards of Quality of Service and Consumer Protection (Addressable Systems) Regulations, 2017
1. Short title, extent and commencement.
(1)These regulations may be called the Telecommunication (Broadcasting and Cable) Services Standards of Quality of Service and Consumer Protection (Addressable Systems) Regulations, 2017.(2)These regulations shall be applicable to broadcasting services related to television provided, through addressable systems, throughout the territory of India.(3)(a)Except as otherwise provided in sub-clause (b), these regulations shall come into force after one hundred and eighty days from the date of publication of these regulations in the Official Gazette.(b)Sub-regulation (5) of regulation 24 and regulations 25, 31, 32, 33, 34 and 37 of these regulations shall come into force after one hundred and twenty days from the date of publication of these regulations in the Official Gazette.
