Section 434 in Arunachal Pradesh Municipal Act, 2007
434. Co-operation of police.
(1)Every Police- Officer-in-Charge of a police station within the jurisdiction of the Municipality and every officer and every other employee, subordinate to him, if any (hereinafter referred to in this section as the designated authority ) shall -(a)co-operative with the Municipality for carrying into effect and enforcing the provisions of this Act and for maintaining good order in and outside the municipal area and,(b)assist the Municipality or the Municipal Executive Officer or any other officer or other employee of the Municipality in carrying out any order made by a Magistrate under this Act.(2)It shall be the duty of every police officer -(i)to communicate without delay to the Chief Municipal Executive Officer/ Municipal Executive Officer or any other officer of the Municipality any information which he received in respect of any design to commit or any commission of any offence under this Act or the rules or the regulations made thereunder and,(ii)to assist the Chief Municipal Executive Officer/ Municipal Executive Officer or any other officer or other employee of the Municipality requiring his aid for the lawful exercise of any power vesting in the Municipality or the Chief Municipal Executive Officer/ Municipal Executive Officer or such other officer or other employee under this Act or the rules or the regulations made thereunder.(3)Any officer or other employee of the Municipality may when empowered by a general or special order of the designated authority, if any on the recommendation of the Municipality in that behalf, exercise the powers of a police for such of the purposes of this Act as may be specified in such general or special order.(4)The District Magistrate, the Sub-Divisional Magistrate and the officer under them and the other employee subordinate to them shall cooperate with the municipal authorities in the performance of their duties under this Act.
