17. Managing Committee of the Association.
(1)The District Council shall constitute and appoint a Managing Committee of the Association consisting of not more than 7 (seven) members, including the Chairman.(2)Such Managing Committee shall include at least 3 Members of the District Council and 3 representatives of growers one each for cotton, jute and ginger.(3)The Chairman of the Association shall be appointed by the Executive Committee. The Chairman shall preside over the Managing Committee.(4)The Managing Committee shall elect a Vice-Chairman from among the members of the District Council appointed as member of the Managing Committee under sub-section (2) (of section 17 of the Regulation).(5)The Managing Committee shall be responsible to the Executive Committee.
