Section 5 in Andhra Pradesh Regulation of Admissions into Under Graduate Professional courses in Planning and Architecture (B. Arch, B. Planning and other related courses) Rules, 2006

5. Method of Admission.

- The general guidelines of the admission of candidates into Professional Institutions offering B. Arch/ B. Planning shall be as follows:-
(i)The Admissions into all the university colleges offering Under Graduate Professional Courses in B. Arch/B. Planning shall be made through Single Window System in the order of merit on the basis of ranking assigned in PACET as per Rule 5 of the Andhra Pradesh Planning and Architecture Common Entrance Test for entry into 5 year B. Arch and 4 year B. Planning and other related course Rules, 2004, following Rules of Reservation as prescribed in Rule 7 hereunder.
(ii)All the seats Unaided Minority/Non-Minority Institutions offering Under Graduate Professional Courses in B.Arch/B.Planning shall be filled as follows:
(a)All the Category A seats shall be filled by the respective Institutions by admitting candidates as allotted by the Convener of PACET admissions/Convener of PACET-AC admissions, as the case may be, depending upon the option exercised by the institutions as per clause (iv) of sub-rule (a) of Rule 11 of the Andhra Pradesh Planning and Architecture Common Entrance Test for entry into 5 year B. Arch and 4 year B. Planning and other related courses, Rules, 2004.
(b)All the Category B seats shall be filled by the respective Institutions on merit basis following the procedure laid down in Rule 6 (iii) hereunder.
(c)The admission of the candidates made in various un-aided Non Minority and Minority Professional Institutions shall be subject to scrutiny by the inspecting Authority appointed for the purpose.
(iii)The Convener of PACET admissions/ Convener of PACET-AC admissions shall allot candidates to Institutions in terms of Rules laid down herein.
(iv)The admissions shall be made in the order of merit on the basis of the ranking assigned in PACET/PACET-AC as per Rule 5/11 of the Andhra Pradesh Planning and Architecture Common Entrance Test for entry into 5year B. Arch and 4 year B. Planning and other related course, 2004.
(v)The total number of candidates to be admitted in all the Professional Institutions offering B. Arch/B. Planning shall not exceed the limits prescribed by the All India Council for Technical Education/Council of Architecture from time to time.
