(1)In the case of, -(a)a Municipal Corporation, the Mayor or in his absence, the Senior Deputy Mayor or in the absence of both, the Mayor and the Senior Deputy Mayor, the Deputy Mayor;(b)a Class 'A' or Class 'B' Municipal Council, the President or in his absence the Senior Vice-President or in the absence of both the President and the Senior Vice-President, the Vice-President; and(c)a Class 'C' Municipal Council or a Nagar Panchayat, the President or in his absence the Vice-President,as the case may be, -(i)may, whenever he thinks fit; and(ii)shall on a requisition specifying in writing the purpose of the meeting and signed by not less than one-third of the total number of members of the Municipality, excluding the nominated members,convene either an ordinary or a special meeting at any time.
