Section 102 in Delhi Prisons (Transfer of Prisoner, Labour and Jail Industry, Food, Clothings and Sanitation) Rules, 1988

102. Clothing of convict officers.

(1)The clothing of male convict officers shall be :
(a)Convicts Watchman — The usual prison uniform of a convict with the exception of woollen cap in lieu of which a white pugree will be issued and a brass badge to be worn on the left arm with the word "Watchman" engraved thereon.
(b)Convict Overseer — Black pugree, black coat (alkhaliq) and black payjama, a brown leather belt and brass buckle with the word "Overseer" engraved thereon.
(c)Convict Warder — The same as a convict-overseer but the clothing shall be yellow and on the buckle shall be engraved the word "Convict warder."
(2)Female convict officers shall wear the same articles of clothing as ordinary female convicts, but dyed black in the case an overseer, and yellow in the case of a convict warder with the leather badge with brass buckles and words denoting their engraved thereon. All convict officers doing duty outside barracks at night shall be provided with blankets and great coats in winter time.
