Section 4 in Andhra Pradesh Regulation of Admissions into Under Graduate Professional courses in Planning and Architecture (B. Arch, B. Planning and other related courses) Rules, 2006
4. Eligibility Criteria for Admission.
- The eligibility criteria for Admission into Under Graduate courses in B. Arch/ B. Planning shall be as mentioned below:(i)The candidate should be an Indian National.(ii)On the date of Counselling for admission the candidate should have passed the qualifying examination either in.(a)(10+2) or equivalent and secured 50% marks in aggregate with Mathematics and English as subjects for admission in to 5 year B. Arch and with any subjects for admission into 4year B. Planning courses or(b)Diploma in Architecture or related courses and secured 50% marks in aggregate with Mathematics and English as subjects for admission into 5 year B. Arch and with any subjects for admission into 4 year B. Planning coursesThe candidates should also have secured a rank at the Common Entrance Test and satisfy other conditions laid down in these Rules.Provided that the Category B seats as specified in Rule 3 (ii) (c) above shall be filled on the basis of the rank obtained in the All India Common Entrance Test of Common or Entrance Test conducted by the State or its agency:Provided further that the NRI seats may be filled with NRI candidates who have passed the qualifying examination with not less than 50% of aggregate marks or Cumulative Grade Point Average (CGPA) equivalent to "5" on a scale of 10.(iii)They vacant seats, if any, in B. Planning course only may be filled with eligible candidates including those securing not less than 50% marks in aggregate or in group subjects in the qualifying examination duly ensuring merit and transparency. However, vacant seats, if any, in B.Arch course shall be filled only with candidates who secured rank at PACET/PACET-AC/All India Common Entrance Test recognized by the Government.(iv)[ ***] [Omitted 'During admissions through Single Window System, the qualified candidates of PACET shall not be eligible for admission the Institutions that have opted for PACET-AC on the basis of their Rank in PACET and vice-versa. However, such candidates shall be eligible for seeking admissions in the vacant seats to be filled by the Institutions based on their merit as per Rule 6 hereunder.' by Notification No. G.O.Ms. No. 108 dated 2.8.2007 (w.e.f. 26.5.2006).](v)The candidate should satisfy Local/ Non-Local status requirement as laid down in the Andhra Pradesh Educational Institutions (Regulation of Admissions) order, 1974 as subsequently amended for admission into Category A seats in unaided Professional Institutions and for all seats in University Colleges.
