Section 23(4) in The U.P. Pravidhik Shiksha (Admission Conduct of Examinations and Conferment of Certificates and Diplomas) Regulations, 1992
(4)A candidate appearing at the Final Secondary Technical Certificate Examination shall be declared to have passed the Examination if he/she obtains-(a)at least 33 per cent marks in each subject Group 'A';Provided that in the Science (Physics and Chemistry) subject the student will have to secure the minimum pass marks in theory and praeticals separately as prescribed by the Board of High School and Intermediate Education, U.P., Allahabad.(b)not less than 33 per cent marks in aggregate, to Group 'A';(c)at least 60 per cent marks in each practical (including sessionals in Group 'B';(d)not less than 45 per cent marks in aggregate of all the theory, praeticals and sessional of group 'A' and 'B' together and including discipline/N.C.C./Games marks.
