Section 9 in Veterinary Council Of India Regulation, 1991
9. Appointment of visitor.
(1)Subject to the provisions of sub-section (2) of Section 20 of the Act, a visitor may be;-(a)a member of the Council or(b)a person who is or has been a teacher of any institution conferring veterinary diploma or degree included in the First or Second Schedule to the Act; or(c)a person who has acted as an examiner in a veterinary diploma or degree course included in the First or Second Schedule to the Act; or(d)a person who possesses veterinary diploma or degree (after undergoing a court of study) in veterinary included in the First 01 Second Schedule to the Act and having at least ten years professional standing.(2)No person who is appointed as an inspector for any inspection or examination shall be appointed as, a visitor for the same inspection or examination.(3)A visitor who is a member of the veterinary council of India shall not receive any remuneration but shall be paid travelling and other allowances as for attending the meeting of the Veterinary Council of India.(4)A visitor who is not a member of the Veterinary Council of India shall be paid travelling and other allowances a9' prescribed for the members of the veterinary Council of India for attending its meetings.(5)A visitor shall not take part in the inspection of any veterinary college, hospital or other institution where veterinary education is given and where he is a teacher and of any examination held by any University, board or other veterinary institution where he is an examiner.(6)Every visitor shall receive from the President a commission in writing under the seal of the Veterinary Council of India and the commissioner shall specify the veterinary college, hospital or other institution where veterinary education is given and the examination held by any University, Board or veterinary institution which he is required to visit.
