Section 23(5) in The U.P. Pravidhik Shiksha (Admission Conduct of Examinations and Conferment of Certificates and Diplomas) Regulations, 1992
(5)Successful candidates in the Final Secondary Technical Certificate Examination obtaining :(a)Sixty-six per cent of the total marks in aggregate shall be placed in the First Division;(b)Forty-five per cent of the total marks but less than 66 per cent of the total marks in aggregate shall be placed in the Second Division;(c)Successful candidates of Final Secondary Technical Certificate, Special Back Paper Examination shall be awarded division on the basis of the aggregate obtained at the preceding Annual Examination.(d)Candidates getting 75 per cent or above in a theory subject shall be awarded at distinction in the theory subject.
