The U.P. Reorganisation (Removal of Difficulties) Order, 2003Published vide Notification G.S.R. 674(E), dated 19th August, 2003G.S.R. 674(E). - The following Order made by the President is published for general information:-Whereas, a difficulty has arisen in giving effect to the provisions of Sections 8 and 19 of the Uttar Pradesh Reorganisation Act 2000 (29 of 2000) (hereinafter referred to as the said Act) in relation to the list of members of the Council of States specified in the First Schedule and in Delimitation of Council Constituencies specified in the Third Schedule to the said Act respectively;And whereas, a difficulty has also arisen in giving effect to the provisions of Sections 20 and 24 of the said Act, which relates to amendment of the List of members of the Legislative Council of Uttar Pradesh and the Constitution (Scheduled Castes) Order, 1950 as specified in the Fourth Schedule and the Fifth Schedule to the said Act;And whereas, names of certain members of the Legislative Council appearing in the Fourth Schedule and Scheduled Castes appearing in the Fifth Schedule to the said Act have been mentioned incorrectly in those Schedules and the errors in the names are required to be rectified so as to avoid any controversy in the identification of such members and the Scheduled Castes;Now, therefore, in exercise of the powers conferred by Sub-section (I) of Section 94 of the Uttar Pradesh Reorganisation Act, 2000 (29 of 2000), the President hereby makes the following Order, namely:-

(1)This Order may be called the Uttar Pradesh Reorganisation (Removal of Difficulties) Order, 2003.

(2)It shall come into force at once.

In the First Schedule to the said Act,-

(i)In paragraph (i),-

(a)for the, words and figures "November, 2002", the word, letter and figures "25th November, 2002" shall be substituted;

(b)for the words, "Akilesh Das", "Balwant Singh Ramoowalia", the words, "Akhilesh Das" and "Balwant Singh Ramuwalia", shall respectively be substituted;

(ii)in paragraph (ii),-

(a)for the words and figures, "July, 2004", the word, letter and figures, "4th July, 2004"shall be substituted;

(b)for the words "T.N. Chaturvedi" and "Khan Ghufran Zahidi", the words 'Triloki Nath" and "Khan Gufaran Zahidi" shall respectively be substituted;

In the Third Schedule to the said Act, in the Table,-

(a)under the sub-heading "Graduate Constituencies",-

(i)against serial number 1 relating to Bareilly-Moradabad Division Graduates, in column 2, for the word "Badaun", the word "Budaun" shall be substituted;

(ii)against serial number 4 relating to Varanasi Division Graduates, in column 2, for the word "Gazipur", the word" Ghazipur" shall be substituted;

(iii)against serial number 8 relating to Meerut Division Graduates, in column 2, for the word "Bagpat", the word "Baghpat" shall be substituted;

(b)under the sub-heading "Teachers' Constituencies",-

(i)against serial number 1 relating to Bareilly-Moradabad Division Teachers, in column 2, for the word "Badaun", the word "Budaun" shall be substituted;

(ii)against serial number 4 relating to Varanasi Division Teachers, in column 2, for the word "Gazipur", the word "Ghazipur" shall be substituted;

(iii)against serial number 8 relating to Meerut Division Teachers, in column 2, for the word "Baghpat", the word "Baghpat" shall be substituted;

(c)under the sub-heading "Local Authorities" Constituencies" ,-

(i)against serial number 3 relating to Badaun Local Authorities, in columns 1 and 2, for the word "Badaun", the word "Budaun" shall respectively be substituted, and

(ii)against serial number 14 relating to Gonda Local Authorities, in column 2, for the words "Gonda district", the words "Gonda and Balrampur districts" shall be substituted.

In the Forth Schedule to the said Act,-

(i)For the serial number 5 and entries relating thereto, the following shall be substituted, namely:-

"5. Shri Prakash Pant",

(ii)for the serial number 8 and entries relating there to the following shall be substituted, namely:-

"8. Shri Bhagat Singh Koshyari";

(iii)for the serial number 9 and entries relating thereto, the following shall be substituted, namely:-

"9. Shri Islam Singh".

In the Fifth Schedule to the said Act, in clause (b), for serial numbers 9, 34, 35, 37, 45, 46, 48 and 61 and the entries relating thereto, the following serial numbers and entries shall respectively be substituted, namely:-"9. Balahar
