Those practices, methods, techniques andstandards, as changed from time to time that are generallyaccepted for use in the international electric utility industry,taking into account conditions in India / Tamil Nadu, andcommonly used in prudent electric utility engineering andoperations to design, engineer, construct, test, operate andmaintain equipment lawfully, safely, efficiently and economicallyas applicable to equipment of a certain size, service and typeand which practices, methods, standards and acts shall beadjusted to the extent necessary, in order:

(a) to conform to operation and maintenanceguidelines recommended by the equipment manufacturers andsuppliers and according to the guidelines given in the Indian /International Standards code of practice for such equipments.

(b) to ensure compliance with the ElectricityAct 2003, rules and other related laws.

(c) to take into account the site location,including without limitation, the climatic, hydrological andother environmental or general conditions thereof.
